Friends of Gildredge House
The Friends of Gildredge House (FoGH) is a separate organisation of parent volunteers who work hard to fundraise for the school.
The Friends of Gildredge House (FoGH) is the school’s registered parent charity (Charity Number 1164903). We are a team of parent volunteers who work in partnership with staff, families and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience of every pupil across both the primary and secondary phases.
Our aims are to:
Raise funds to provide facilities, equipment, resources and experiences that enrich school life and support pupils’ education and wellbeing.
Develop positive relationships between staff, parents, carers and the wider school community.
Organise events that bring our school community together.
FUNDRAISING
Throughout the year, FoGH organises fundraising and community events, including the Winter Fayre, Spring Fayre, Summer Festival, Colour Run and Primary School Disco, while also supporting school events for pupils and families.
Our Impact in 2025-26
Thanks to the incredible support of our families, staff, volunteers and local businesses, FoGH invested more than £8,200 back into Gildredge House during the 2025–26 academic year.
This funding has supported:
Reading & Literacy
Books and reading resources for classrooms and libraries across the primary and secondary school.
Yoto Players to encourage reading for pleasure and bring stories to life in classrooms.
Learning & Curriculum
Maths resources to support learning across the primary phase.
Fine motor and sensory resources for Years 1 and 2.
Classroom and wet play resources for Year 3.
Wellbeing & Inclusion
A contribution towards a dedicated sensory room to support pupil wellbeing and inclusion.
New outdoor seating for the secondary phase.
Playtime equipment to encourage active and enjoyable break times.
Enrichment & Experiences
Year 6 SATs breakfasts and end-of-year celebrations.
A magic show for Reception pupils.
Ice pops for every primary and secondary pupil during the summer heatwave.
Transport enabling the school choir to perform at Glyndebourne.
Support towards the Year 11 Prom.
Every raffle ticket purchased, cake baked, prize donated, volunteer hour given and event attended helps create opportunities like these for our pupils.
FUND ALLOCATION
Funds raised by FoGH are carefully managed to ensure they deliver the greatest possible benefit to pupils. The committee works closely with school leaders to consider funding requests and allocate money to projects, resources and experiences that support the school’s priorities and enhance opportunities for children and young people across Gildredge House.
GET INVOLVED!
FoGH is run by a small committee of parent volunteers, and we are always delighted to welcome new members, volunteers and fresh ideas.
Whether you can help at a single event, join the committee, volunteer behind the scenes or support us through donations, sponsorship or matched funding, every contribution makes a difference.
