All Gildredge House students are expected to adhere to the Gildredge House Uniform Policy [PDF]. Further information can be found here.
Students should take a pride in their appearance. We expect all our students to be smartly and sensibly dressed with clothing as designated on the relevant Gildredge House Uniform List. This should be fully and strictly adhered to.
Please note for the first half of the Autumn Term, children may wear the Summer uniform.
Students are expected to bring their Sport kit to every Sport lesson and fixture. Please note that students are expected to bring their Sport kit in on the first day in September, when their kit will be checked.
Students should have appropriate outdoor clothing i.e. suitable coat every day.

It is a requirement that all uniform is clearly named; shoes, trainers and other equipment should also be marked with indelible ink. The older students are responsible for keeping their belongings safe in their lockers.

Reception – Year 4
Gildredge House uses one supplier for uniform for students in Reception – Year 4: Brigade
Years 7 and 8
Students in Years 9-11 have identical uniform to students in Years 7 and 8 apart from their tie. As of Year 9, students wear a tie with their House colour displayed along one of the stripes. The House tie is available to purchase on-line from Price & Buckland
Sixth Form students are expected to wear smart business dress at Gildredge House.
Male students are expected to wear a smart suit with a collared shirt and tie with smart shoes. There is the option of wearing a smart jumper, to be worn over the collared shirt.
Female students are expected to wear a formal blouse or smart jumper with a tailored jacket and tailored skirt no more than 10cm above the knee or tailored trousers with smart shoes. Trousers should not be a skinny or cropped fit, and skirts should be formal in style. Alternatively, a smart dress may be worn, as long as the shoulders are covered and the length is no more than 10cm above the knee.
