Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) results

Good Level of Development (GLD) 

  • 80% of Reception students achieved GLD (provisional National Average 67%)

 Year 1 results

Phonics

  • 80% of Year 1 students met the expected standard of phonic decoding (provisional National Average 80%) 

 Key Stage 1 (KS1) results

Gildredge House attended County external moderation, where all judgements were agreed.

80% of Year 2 students reached the expected standard in Reading (provisional National Average 68%)
66% of Year 2 students reached the expected standard in Writing (provisional National Average 59%)
86% of Year 2 students reached the expected stand in Maths (provisional National Average 70%)

 

 Key Stage 2 (KS2) results

Gildredge House attended County external moderation for Writing, where all teacher judgements were agreed.  Year 6 students sat the external Statutory Assessment Tests in Reading, Maths and Grammar Punctuation and Spelling.

80% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Reading (National Average 73%).  25% Higher Standard
70% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Writing (National Average 71%).  8% Higher Standard
75% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Maths (National Average 73%).  17% Higher Standard
76% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (National Average 72%).  17% Higher Standard
60% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths (National Average 59%)
97% of Year 6 students reached the expected standard in Science (National Average 82%)

KEY STAGE 4 (KS4) RESULTS 2023
 

The Progress 8 Score for KS4 in August 2023 has not yet been published by the Department for Education.

Attainment 8 Score

·         47 (compared to the East Sussex score of 43%)

English and Maths

·         66% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4+ (compared to the East Sussex average of 63%)

·         47% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 5+ (compared to the East Sussex average of 41%).

English Language

·         73% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4+ 

·         16% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 7+

English Literature

·         64% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4+

·         16% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 7+

Mathematics

·         78% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 4+

·         28% of Year 11 students achieved a Grade 7+

English Baccalaureate (EBacc.)

·         25% of students were entered for the EBacc.

·         19% of students achieved Grade 4+ in the EBacc.

Post Year 11 Progression

The majority of students (93% October 2020) who leave Year 11 at Gildredge House, stay in education or undertake employment.

The examination results for KS5 in August 2023 are as follows:
