Our facilities

Gildredge House Sixth Form occupies a pleasant leafy site on the edge of the South Downs within ten minutes’ easy walk of Eastbourne station and the centre of the town and close to its delightful seafront. Imposing Victorian buildings are complemented by a combination of more recent additions, providing light and spacious accommodation ideally suited to teaching and learning.

Our well-designed facilities also benefit from cutting edge information and communications technology throughout the site. Students can also take advantage of high quality sports facilities within easy walking distance, such as the astro-turf at The Saffrons, swimming at the University of Brighton and Tennis in the Park.

Our Sixth Form students have the benefit of a stand-alone wing, which we have renamed Temple Grove after the Preparatory School which occupied the site 100 years ago.

Our Sixth Form facilities are enhanced by a fast and accessible computer network, WiFi throughout the building and various hardware including laptops, tablets and digital screens.

Our Sixth Form students also take advantage of the subject-specific facilities throughout the rest of the site.

Learning in the Sixth Form is based on small groups working together with the best teachers available. Lessons are of the highest calibre and the collaboration and relationships between teacher and student are exemplary. Our smaller class sizes allow students to benefit from working with teachers who know how you like to learn best and who will share pride in your achievements.

Sixth Form students also have access to kitchen and common room facilities as well as dedicated study spaces.

Virtual Tour

You will have the opportunity to visit us at the start of next acedemic year. Until then, please use the below link to access sour 360o virtual tour. You will be able to virtually walk through our classrooms, study spaces, ICT facilities, Science labs, Sports facilities and Common rooms.
