Catch-up Premium Report 2018
The funding Gildredge House received for students not reaching the national standards in English for 2017/18 was £7,908.00. At Gildredge House, we split these funds equally between English and Mathematics.
The school used 50% of these funds to support our Year 7 students with small group tuition with a specialist. An additional member of staff was employed to work with those students who arrived at Gildredge House with below expected progress in English.
A Key Stage 3 Intervention Worker was hired using the remaining 50% of these funds to support our Year 7 students in Mathematics. The Intervention Worker worked with those students who arrived at Gildredge House with below expected progress in Mathematics.
Both additional members of staff undertook nurture work with the students. The students showed progress in terms of their English and Mathematics and there was a wider pastoral benefit in that the nurture work reduced their anxiety.
