Welcome Back to the Spring Term

Welcome back to the second half of the Spring Term. It has been an extremely busy week back from the half term holiday. This week we have hosted 18 Spanish students aged between 13 and 14. They have enjoyed taking part in Middle School lessons in the mornings from Tuesday to Friday as part of a half-immersion programme.

Gildredge House supports 'Wear it. Beat it.' for the British Heart Foundation

Today we have been fund-raising for British Heart Foundation (BHF). Mr Roy Payton, David Lloyd BHF Ambassador, came in during this morning’s cake sake, which was organised by a small group of students. Our ‘wear red’ mufti day and cake sale, organised by 7J, raised funds for this charity.

Year 7 Students take part in the IET Faraday Challenge day

On Thursday 4th February, six Year 7 students took part in the IET Faraday Challenge day at St Richard’s Catholic College. The day involved the students being engineers for the day and joining IET’s code team. Six schools participated from across the local area and I am delighted to say that Gildredge House came joint runners up.
