Flower Power!

The sky may have been a bit grey this morning but the school was considerably brightened by the sight of our students who had embraced our ‘Flower Power’ mufti theme with customary enthusiasm. Money raised today will be used to purchase flower bulbs to produce a splendid display around the school.

A Performance to 'Remember'

Last weekend saw the ‘Remember’ performance take place at the Redoubt fortress to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War. The Drama department were invited to be involved and recreate a Siegfried Sassoon poem, ‘Suicide in the trenches’.

The Sun Sets on the First Week Back

As the sun sets rather fetchingly on our first full week of the Autumn Term, I can take a moment to reflect on what we have achieved so far. The students have settled in really well and I am delighted that some of them are already showing themselves to be outstanding among their peers.

A Warm Welcome to Gildredge House

I enjoyed welcoming the students yesterday and sharing their excitement, as many joined their new school for the first time. This week’s opening has been just as momentous and emotional and as the one we had a year ago. The school has doubled in size, with over 350 students and 50 teaching and support staff.
