It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

This week we have enjoyed the run-up to Christmas with a packed schedule of events. It would be hard to pick out the highlights, as there are so many, and it all added up to a rich and enjoyable programme for our students, staff and visitors.

'Elf on the Twelfth' Day Transforms Gildredge House

We rather enjoy our mufti days at Gildredge House and today was no exception, as staff and students fully embraced the ‘Elf on the Twelfth’ theme, becoming Santa’s little helpers for the day. ‘Elf on the Twelfth’ is the fund-raising initiative of Rockinghorse, a Brighton-based charity which has been supporting sick children and babies since 1967.

Putting Character, Community and Creativity at the Heart of Education

Attending this week's SSAT Conference in Manchester, which took 'The Learner' as its theme, has given me the opportunity to reflect on what is the purpose of education and why we are all in this extraordinary business together.
