Gong Xi Fa Cai!

This week has brought all our students together again in celebration of the colourful festival of Chinese New Year. There was a lively introduction to Community yesterday, with Reception students playing their percussion instruments, heralding the arrival of their splendid red dragon, which they processed through the Hall.

The Holocaust Remembered: in words, music and images

The theme of this week's Community was 'The Holocaust Remembered: in words, music and images'. All Year 7 students yesterday attended an assembly, with slide shows on the themes of 'Homeland', 'Kindertransport' and the 'Final Solution'.

Bringing History to Life

At Gildredge House, we have seized the opportunity to participate in an Eastbourne-wide collaborative project and this week it was exciting to be able to host the first planning meeting for the events which are due to take place in September this year to commemorate the anniversary of the outbreak of WW1.

Building for the Future

Welcome back to all our students, staff and parents! It was great to reunite with colleagues at the start of the week, as we contemplated the Spring Term ahead and the many exciting events and challenges events it will bring. The theme for the Term may well be ‘Build’.
