Demolition work begins

This week we have seen the arrival of the orange ‘digger’ and the demolition of the old stores buildings taking place, which was greeted with huge excitement by all students and staff. Everyone was amazed at the precision of the long-arm excavator as it sorted fine pieces of metal for recycling from the bulk of the demolished masonry.

Year 7 Opening Evening a resounding success

The Year 7 Open Evening which was held last night was a resounding success and we were overwhelmed by nearly 1000 visitors. In spite of the dreary weather outside, the school was buzzing with activity.

Buzzing with activity

We are at the end of our first full week and once again the school has been buzzing with activity. Year 7 students have been making the most of their extended school day by getting stuck into their Twilight enrichment programme.

School opens its doors

It has been an extremely exciting week at Gildredge House, as we have opened our doors and welcomed our Reception class and Year 7 students for the first time. All the students looked incredibly smart in their new uniform and have received some lovely compliments from passers-by on their way into school.
