Internet Safety Workshop for Year 7 Parents

Event details

Start 19 November 2013 — 18:30
End 19 November 2013 — 19:30
Venue Gildredge House Large Hall
Schools Middle

The students in Year 7 will spend their Community & Challenge time during Anti-bullying Week in sessions which raise awareness of e-safety and cyberbullying. Mrs Gilbert thought it would be helpful to hold a session for Year 7 parents on the same subjects.

The aim of the parents’ session is to help parents get to grips with what children are doing online and learn some practical tips on how to stay involved in their online lives and, if necessary, overcome the parenting challenges inherent in taking an interest in them.

Parents will be provided with further information to take home and, as part of the session, have the opportunity to discuss strategies with other parents.
